We are organizing
an afternoon and evening excursion to the
wine country for Saturday October 12. The plan is to leave Tiburon shortly after the end of the
conference, 12:45 at the latest, and head north to Sonoma
and/or Napa valley,
eating lunch on the bus to save time. We will stop at 2-3 wineries for tasting
and a tour of at least one of the wineries. Time permitting and depending on the
choice of wineries, we would visit the historic
town of Sonoma. We will end the
day with a wine-country-style dinner before returning to Tiburon around
10pm.
The total cost for this excursion is $125. This includes:
- transportation there and back,
- boxed lunch
- 3-course dinner with wine at either the
Napa Valley Grille in Yountville
(Napa) or The General's Daughter (Sonoma)
- visits and tours of wineries, including tasting
- stop-over in the historic town of Sonoma (time-permitting)
The maximum number of participants is 47, the capacity of the tour bus.
October is the busiest season for the wine country, since the harvest is in full
swing, so dinner and tours must be booked now.
