Student Travel GrantThanks to the generosity of a longstanding AMTA member, the Association is in a position to offer a travel grant of $500 to a student who would not otherwise be able to attend the upcoming conference in Tiburon. Preference will be given to students who have submitted a paper to the main conference or a conference workshop, or to students who are participating in an MT system demonstration. If you are interested in applying, please send an email containing the following information to president@amtaweb.org before 31 July 2002.
Student VolunteersPlease note that the conference organizers would also like to recruit a number of student volunteers to help with various tasks before and during the conference, e.g. preparing the participants' kits, assisting at the registration desk, monitoring the audiovisual equipment. In exchange for half a day's service, students will be granted a 50% discount on the main conference registration fees.
